ELECTRONET SERVICES LIMITED

Westpower wholly owned subsidiary contracting company, ElectroNet Services, has progressed significantly in recent years, as the result of a planned approach to growing the organisation.

Through building a sound business around core competencies - electricity generation and distribution - ElectroNet has been able to expand its operations across the West Coast and into other regions.

While construction activity has been ongoing locally, ElectroNet's lines division has also been involved in assisting other South Island line companies with maintenance and construction works. Contracts have been successfully completed on the East Coast from Waitaki through to Ashburton.

Staff numbers were as low as 40 in the early years, however ElectroNet now employs in excess of 185 across all operations, including two subsidiary companys, an electrical consulting company, Mitton ElectroNet based in Christchurch, and a transmission lines company, ElectroNet Transmission with bases in both Greymouth and Nelson.
